Hi, my name's Joseph Brown, I'm 19 years old, and I’ve recently completed my third and final year of college, as well as my second and final year of the Level 3 Content Creation and Social Media course at Colchester Institute. Throughout my time in education, I’ve developed a wide range of skills across visual, audio and interactive content, while further strengthening my abilities in creative writing, Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.

In the 2023/24 academic year, I studied a Level 2 Digital Media and Technologies course at South Essex College. During my time there, I covered a variety of areas including video production, advertising, advertising techniques, digital publishing, media audiences, as well as contextualised Maths and English. I successfully completed the course with a Pass as my final grade.

I then progressed to Colchester Institute (Braintree Campus), where I completed a Level 3 Content Creation and Social Media course over two academic years. During my first year, I developed my skills in visual-based, audio-based and interactive content, while continuing to improve my creative writing, Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop skills. I completed my first year with a Merit.

In my second and final year at Colchester Institute, I continued to build upon the skills I had developed, working on a range of creative projects and further developing my knowledge of content creation and social media. I completed my final year with another Merit, meaning I achieved an overall Merit across my Level 3 studies.

Alongside my education, from July 2024 until December 2025, I worked as a match reporter for FC Clacton, with my reports also being published in the Clacton Gazette every Thursday following a game. At the start of the 2025/26 season, the club appointed me as their official Social Media Manager, where I managed their Instagram, TikTok and X accounts. This role allowed me to gain valuable real-world experience in journalism, social media management, content creation and working within a professional football environment.
